Turtledoves Bakery
Turtledoves Bakery started out as a result of meeting personal family needs. After adopting a gluten-free diet, it immediately became clear that the market for gluten-free baked goods had room for improvement so we sought to raise the bar. And so we started baking – and there were successes [and some we’d rather not talk about]. But it was the feedback on the delivery, quality and consistency of our products that eventually led us to opening a store front location.
Since we opened in the west end of Burlington [Aldershot], we have been steadily establishing ourselves as both a destination bakery for people with celiac disease as well as others who require a gluten-free diet and as a local neighbourhood bakery. We thank you all for your continued support and look forward to seeing you back soon.
Our menu includes a variety of breads, desserts, and savory items all made in a dedicated gluten-free location. We are frequently experimenting with new recipes and ideas so will periodically be introducing these to get customer opinions and feedback.
It’s hard to believe a year has passed. Thanks to all our family, friends, and supporters as well as our many loyal customers who helped make our first year since opening such a success. We couldn’t have done it without you.
Bread schedule
Please check out our products page for the current scheduled days that our breads are available as a few may have changed since your last visit to the store. Our burger buns are also available at Chuck's Burger Bar on Locke Street so you can enjoy their delicious burgers on a gluten-free bun.
Vacation notice
We will be closed from Tuesday, February 28th until Wednesday, March 14th (inclusive). We will re-open at our regularly scheduled hours on Thursday, March 15th.
